River Fest 2018

In late June 2018, Haworth Park - the traditional home of the Greater Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce's annual River Fest - flooded under heavy rain and upstream water release from Gavins Point Dam. Undeterred, the city's Public Works, Parks, Streets, Community Relations, Police, and Fire Departments, and Chamber of Commerce committed to a 6-day plan of moving River Fest 2018 to American Heroes Park.

Their Herculean efforts paid off when a crowd of 30,000 turned out on July 6th and 7th to enjoy the concerts, car show, carnival, vendors, helicopter rides, pancake breakfast, and 5K fun run! The community's rave reviews of the venue and logistics (especially the parking and shuttle service) - and the higher ground - convinced the Chamber of Commerce and the city to move River Fest to American Heroes Park for 2019!

Please enjoy the River Fest 2018 photo album. If you have photos you would like to share, send them to AHP Volunteers, and we'll be happy to upload them!
